The 2009 player field was one to note with 27 PGA TOUR winners joining the Colonial Country Club field. Fans were delighted with favorites Paul Casey, Adam Scott and the return of both Vijay Singh and Champion, Ian Baker Finch. In a momentous sudden death playoff between Steve Stricker, Tim Clark and Steve Marino, Stricker pulled through to earn the 2009 Champion Title of the 63rd Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial.
